I figured combining S†D & Black Flag related material, would make for a good post…so here goes nothing- DC3 put out two LPs on SST in ‘86 and was a side project of Dez Cadena’s. Straight forward and to the point. You know it’s a win/win situation when Dez writes songs that consist of blending outtakes from songs Black Flag didn’t end up using after their 1982 demo (”What Can You Believe“), and epic riffage we were hearing in the mid to late 70’s. I’ll have work showing in LA from today until the end of the month at Space 1520 (off of Cahuenga Blvd. X Sunset Blvd. – Across from Amoeba) along with Kassia Meador, Jeffery Jones, Joni Sternbach, and Dan Monick. The space is pretty amazing, and I feel honored to be along side of such great creative spirits. Come out tonight if you can- there’s a full on bar and a lot of weird LA people watching op’s, it should be awesome to say the least..
The results on the strip below, are due to an inconsistency in one of my new camera bodies evidently. I don’t think the shutter-advancer was properly working at the time, but the rest of the roll came out fine… kinda weird..? (click to enlarge)
