I get asked nearly once a week something among the lines of.. “Why do you update your blog every single day- what’s the point?” – my answer, nine times out of ten is the same; “Because, I know how much I love seeing new content from my personal inspirations; I want to help inspire- I want to provide people with something fresh to visually identify with every single day (if they choose to).”
Well, these images below were taken by someone who’s new work I constantly find myself anticipating & someone I consider to be one of my bigger inspirations; Not only in photography, but in life.  I met this person through doing this blog daily and then when starting the Grass is Greener Project. Thank you Simon, you’re a great brother to have.

I’ve been searching for the words to thank and express my gratitude for this acknowledgment, all day long- and am still speechless.  Updating every single day is something that I can’t help.  I do it everyday whether I’m here or out of town- it’s something that is incredibly important to me, and has made me want to follow through more and more after each and every random email I receive.
Thank you Nick, for your incredibly kind words and taking the time to write something so very incredible about me- just some average loser with a heart and mind that won’t let me stop taking pictures.  It is a habit that I will never be able to break.  I’m grateful others can appreciate my habit- whether it’s perceived as bad or good.  I’m here for this very reason.
Thank you Simon, for your visit and for the encouragement and love you and your wife Jazz poured out on me during the duration of your trip.  You two are incredibly special individuals, and the Lord is definitely doing some incredible things with your talents.  Thank you for this incredible picture of myself at work, and the extremely humbling title you gave it.  You are my brother Simon, and I love you so very much.

My very dear friend (through GiG), Simon Perini and his beautiful wife Jazz ventured from the wonderful land of Oz to visit CA these past couple weeks.  Simon brought over his little booklet to share with CA the wonderful work he’s been producing lately (pictured below).  It is a collection of his works and man, it is incredible- I’m honored to own an original.  Simon and Jazz came over to my place in Costa Mesa where we chatted cameras, surfing, culture, life, spirituality, and all sorts of other goodness.  We ate Alejandros and then drove directly over to In-N-Out to seal the deal, CA style.
Simon has been a great friend, encouragement, and an inspiration through all the emails we’ve sent back and forth for the past year now- not to mention how he has spoken to me and many others through his photography.  Thankfully, brother Simon started his very own blog!!!  Please take a second to bookmark it, and check it out in about a week when Him and Jazz get home from their travels- updating it with some great work he’s been doing out here on his trip.
Thank you Simon & Jazz for the prayers, and one of the best nights I’ve had in my entire life- I can’t wait to come visit!
